Between 1989 and 1995, Carl Jefferson's  Concord Records recorded 42 solo jazz piano recitals in the Maybeck Recital Hall of Berkeley, CA.  This project is unique in recorded jazz history.

Hear the complete story through exclusive interviews with the producer of the concerts, Dick Whittington and from the participants, who are .... some of the greatest jazz pianists of all time.

If you are one of the pianists that took part in this series and I did not get your interview, please drop me an email.

I would like to thank all the artists that were so generous with their time.  Not only are they great musical artists, they are wonderful people and my life has been enriched by getting to know them.

Stop in and say hello to Dick Whittington, next time you are in Carmel. He plays great piano Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings at the Cypress Inn.
